We will be going over foundations, principles and tapping into our intuition for a longer shape in the morning and a short shape in the afternoon.

5-6 hour hands on class includes theory and and a live demonstration of two haircuts, plus hands on instruction.

Students will need to provide a dollhead of model and necessary cutting tools for the hands on segment. A tool list will be provided prior to day of class.

Celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Gigi Hadid are making warmer, deeper, and dimensional blondes back on trend. This class is just on time to teach how to add back depth and dimension into overly processes blondes and create warmth that is not brassy!

Advanced reverse foilayage (balayage inside foil) class to color correct bleach and tones and/or outdated ‘partial highlight’ blondes to a natural rooted painted look. Accomplished using babylights, shadow tinting between foil, with finishes including base breaking, shadow toning, and foil & open air low-lighting. In addition to the Lightener Placement/techniques, we’ll be going In-Depth on Theory including Factors of Lift, PH Scale, and advanced ColorMelt Formulation. This class also expands on color theory, including porosity/texture & filling/canceling & gray coverage, to equip stylists with everything they need to problem solve common difficult scenarios. (Blonde dollheads are encouraged for use during hands-on)

Top of the day with Guided Hands-on with Ashlee Norman and her talented team to lock in the knowledge immediately after the live model demonstration. Of course let’s not forget the Champagne Brunch, Inspirational Team Stories, and Group Dances - Come Laugh, Cry, and Dance your way to a better career in this 360 degree experience!

We had the privilege of hosting a cutting and color class led by the renowned stylist and educator, Jacob Khan. Jacob Khan, along with members of his esteemed education team Ben White and Aly Davis from Fancy Hairdressers, brought their expertise and passion for hairstyling to over 30 attendees at the salon.

Jacob Khan is a multi-talented individual, known for his skills in cutting, education, and entrepreneurship. As the owner of "Jacob K Hair" and a Goldwell Brand Ambassador, he has built a reputation for his innovative techniques and industry knowledge. Together with his team members Ben White and Aly Davis, Jacob Khan has been dedicated to empowering hairdressers with real-life tools to succeed in the salon.

The class presented by Jacob Khan at Studio Sage was a look and learn style session, showcasing 5-6 different models with a variety of haircuts and styles. Attendees had the opportunity to observe a start-to-finish low maintenance color application, gaining valuable insights and techniques to enhance their skills. The goal of the class was to boost confidence and capability in the salon environment, ensuring that stylists feel more prepared to handle any client request and ultimately increase their earning potential while enjoying their work.

Unlocking the Potential of Your Salon Team: Lessons from Goldwell’s Creative Expression Event in Nashville

This past weekend, the Studio Sage team embarked on an exciting journey to Nashville to attend Goldwell’s creative expression event. The event was filled with educational cutting classes led by the talented Jacob Kahn as well as insightful sessions at the business owner summit. One highlight for us was the opportunity to listen to Stephanie Fox, a renowned expert in the industry, speak to a group of salon owners about the complexities of hiring in the professional beauty industry.

As we reflect on our experience at Goldwell’s event in Nashville, we are inspired to apply Stephanie’s insights to our own journey at Studio Sage. By fostering growth within our team, embracing change when necessary, and staying proactive in our recruitment efforts, we are confident that we can elevate our salon to new heights of success.

We were working on a live model doing a full set of extension installation, hands-on with our educator installing on the model before we moved on to mannequins to further oureducation of our No Show method.
